I painted Puberty thinking about all of us. We were all caterpillars at some point.
This turquoise Tiffany's blue is one of my favorite colors to paint in oils. It is so lustrous that makes me think about the water and the palette of the rustic interiors of the Mediterranean Coast.
If you scroll through the end you will find that Munch already painted a version of Puberty between 1894 and 1895. I didn't realize that the Norwegian painter already made a reference to this topic until today. It is so fascinating!"

She is wearing the traditional folkloric 'khustka' or 'ochipok' a headdress and her national colors because even she is worried about the future of her country. Her force will continue to grow.
According to national authorities, more than 2.5 million people (March 17th) have fled Ukraine since the Putin-led invasion of Ukraine, home to 44 million.
This devastating situation is the potential beginning of another major refugee crisis. We can't ignore it!!!"

I started looking at those dry and mysterious, stressed-looking tourne-sols🌻 during my walks. The sunflower fields were not lush and green, but brown and dry.

Thinking about what I learned in school, the bulk of it was from being surrounded by inspired academics and teachers that respected the craft and wanted to deliver its history in their most special way. Not from the books.

"This piece is inspired by the aromatic Marimar Estate wine pinot noir called Mas Cavalls. In Catalan "mas" means farm and "cavalls" means horses. In this case the artist's intent was to enhance the vine grape with symmetry and exaggerate the shape. She uses the surrealism as a way to portray mundane life into the extraordinary, creating totally new scenarios.
The story behind this painting is about a vine grape trying to escape from the vineyards with her suitcase. She doesn't want to share her juice with anyone else's and she is lost. Sometimes sharing is not caring."

"This artworks is inspired by the beautiful Albariño from Marimar Estate Vinyards & Winery, a white grape variety originally grown in North of Spain and Portugal.
This artwork called Origamiño 'Origami Grape' is a surreal representation of the traditional vine grape, but in this case, it is shaped magically and grandiosity on origami paper. In Japan, origami is a practice of strength and meditation, and it is passed on from parents to children at home. I believe that the art of wine has a similar approach. Finding a connection in my artwork is something I always try to do."
